Art of Play approached me to work on some looping animations for their collaboration with Craighill. They were setting up a kickstarter for this absolutely-incredible-genius-amazing puzzle, and after showing it to me, I had to jump on it.

In order to get a full grasp of the actual puzzle. I met up with Ka-Lok, Director of Media at Art of Play, who had a prototype of the puzzle with him. I was blown away by how clever the puzzle was, and we got to mocking up some of the loop animations that eventually became the final product.

It was a lot of fun to work on. Although loop animations are very cliche, it was great to work with such a unique shape which has very interesting properties and mechanics behind how it connects and falls apart. Here are some close-ups to perfectly illustrate what I mean.

Thanks for taking the time to enjoy the project! This was a short, sweet and absolutely fun one. Check out some stills and some unused material below :)
